Next week I am moving to the long-waited rehab facility, and after that I will be returning home.
Until now, I have been shielded from the costs of disability because of our wonderful and vital NHS. This will change when I get home due to the considerable costs of remodelling the house, and my need for round the clock care.

She's comfortable at last in this borrowed flat on the third floor which has an iron bench on the balcony from where she can see up and down the street, sometimes with the sun on her yet untanned face, often the wind, at least she can step right outside and see people starting to go here and there. And when she's not teaching the banjo on Zoom, or working as the trusted local dog-walker, it's become her habit to look out for the bike thief.
