Yet he couldn’t make out what it was with him that made people say such things, or why, after so many contented hours at home with his mother, such violence had entered his world.
The Billy’s of the world leave their bruising mark. A fantastically powerful story and one that resonates with everyone who has been the focus of Billy-bully fuelled vitriol.
To me, the mother’s comment was antisemitic. Is it supposed to be considered as such? It doesn’t seem to be, since the implication of what she says (defending her and the son as at least being better than Jews) is not further explored. I hope I am misunderstanding. At this point, I must confess I feel disappointed and turned off.
Brilliant.
oh how telling. Wonderful. As a jew in Canada, who is against Israeli genocide, I appreciate your story.

Thanks for the gift of words. I was hoping Billy(s) could have been stopped, but it hardly ever happens, in this tormented and doomed world we share.
I have always loved your writing, and now more then ever I appreciate it, and am so grateful to your family for making sure the stories get out!
thank you.
Excruciatingly painful
